Happy 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
Here are some of the items which Mahatma Gandhi like to have in his meal, before listing the items I would like to share some facts about Gandhi Ji.
1. Dal and Rice
Gandhi's food consists of protein and carbohydrate-rich dal. It is common diet of all Indians
2.Chapati
Mostly all the people use to have Chapatis in their meal, so being Gujrati he also grew up eating chapatis.
3.Curd/Yogurt
Gandhi Ji also like to have curd in his lunch because curd is smooth for the stomach and good for the digestion.
4.Brinjal
Bapu used to enjoy boiled brinjals in his meals
5.Beetroot or Radish
As Bapu is a pure vegetarian he was against eating the food which raises the temper and for him as a great leader has controlled his temper and anger so he uses to have boiled food without any additional additives like salt and oil. Boiled beetroot and radish are common vegetables he ate.
6.Lauki or Pumpkin
Lauki is very nutritious and Gandhi Ji like the nutrition-rich vegetable.
7.Peda
Peda is prepared by milk which is a very thick and soft peda, a famous dessert of Gujrat. Gandhi Ji loves to eat peda which is strictly prepared by milk procured from the local cows.
8.Juices and Squash
Gandhi Ji believe in instant energy so to have energy in the body he likes to have juice and suggest the people drink juice except for all nonviolent drinks such as alcohol.
